About Me
From the very first day I began working as a counselor, I knew I had found my calling. My deep passion for understanding human behavior and life experiences led me to pursue a career in therapy and a doctorate degree in counseling. I am currently working towards licensure and are supervised by Jessica Slagg, LICSW.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, young and older adults, and families—and I truly enjoy working with all populations. Currently, my focus is on supporting young and older adults, LGBTQ individuals, military personnel, and veterans.
My Approach
I will meet you where you are in life. I take great joy in helping others navigate their journey and realize their fullest potential. My approach is holistic, with an emphasis on narrative therapy to help you tell—and perhaps re-write—your story. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and build upon them, fostering a stronger sense of self and identity.
I use motivational interviewing and therapeutic techniques grounded in the strengths-based perspective. My treatment modalities include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Mindfulness
Motivational Interviewing
Narrative Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Family Functional Therapy (Strategic/Structural)
I am here to walk with you through your unique path to healing and growth.

About Me
I am a retired U.S. Army Veteran. Many years after my retirement, I returned to school and obtained my degree in Masters of Social Work. I returned to serve other's, this time around I chose to dedicate my time to serving fellow veterans at the VA. I wanted to assist veterans with restoring the dignity and respect that they deserve; one Veteran at a time. I am experienced working with children, young and older adults, and families. At this time, I will be providing services to young and older adults, LGBTQ, active-duty military and Veterans
My Approach
I believe in a holistic approach by using narrative therapy to assist one with telling and perhaps re-writing your story. Thereby identifying individual strengths and building upon them. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing treatment modalities, along with the strength perspective based on the person-in-the-environment.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy as my treatment modalities.
